Worrying=waste

God's reminder to me last night. (He keeps giving them to me.)

My verse to keep reciting today:

Luke 12: 22
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds! Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? Consider how the lilies grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will he clothe you, O you of little faith!"

Tif's application: It doesn't matter that I can't find the septic permit or signed plan...or log on to the chat session for my last class...or have nothing ready for the rummage sale in three days...or have an empty fridge with no bread, or milk, or yogurt, or anything that looks appetizing for dinner...or am already stressing about going back to work in a month and having to leave my boys. IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER!

My struggle is it always seems as if it is the snowball effect of all the little things that go wrong that depresses me more than big things. I guess I just function better in a big crisis situation (That's why I can be a good special ed. teacher to my students with autism, right?) My boys are healthy, my bills are paid for this month, my husband is working, my sheep are thriving, the hens gave me four eggs today, Dodge is sleeping on the couch and not driving me crazy...Sorry if I'm lulling you to sleep, I'm trying to turn my attitude around. Ok, no more tears, I think it's working. Sorry if I've bored you with this post. Hopefully something more exciting will be going on tomorrow, maybe I can finally find the damn septic paperwork and get the loan so that we can install the new poop pipes.

At least I can still blog...
