Tonight's prime-time game show, directly from the
northwoods,
Name that Berry.

This is a low growing berry, that grows on a vine in a few high ground areas of our property. We discovered them last year in our quest for the berry of blue. We even picked a few handfuls and dared each other to eat them, with no ill effects. The berry tasted somewhat like a raspberry, only sweeter. We never did discover their precise name. So here is the challenge for you- what is this berry? How come I've lived in this area for 30+ years and never discovered them till last year? Is it some long absent, rare variety? Is it something that will lead to toxicity in greater proportions? Help! I looked through all the plant identifying books I had, and searched on the
Internet for the name/picture of every berry I could think, to no avail.
In other berry news, we found a few blueberries, not enough to write home about, but enough to placate a 3 1/2 year old who two days ago asked his papa to put some blueberries in an envelope and mail them to him.
In other random ramblings- I am done with my ASD coursework! I finished my last 10 page paper last night. Thanks to a wonderful husband who headed to Target with two boys so that mommy had some uninterrupted quiet to type her fingers numb.

I had to share this cute picture. Sunday morning Jason and Vic came for breakfast. As I was cooking bacon, wheat-n-malt pancakes, eggs, and coffee, they were lucky enough to get in on an exciting game of 'Wheels on the Bus.' In Kohen's mind they come over just to entertain him. He was a good loser though, didn't even whine when Vic won. Yeah Vic! You collected a horn, doors, wipers, and wheel first! Kohen has finally mastered the concept of memorizing where the cards are. I was impressed to watch him play.
