It has been a busy, full weekend. Nate and Kohen took a quick trip to Rochester on Friday. Isaiah and I headed to a Pat Surface & the Boundary Water Boys concert with my mom for the evening. Isaiah loved the music, and grooved to many songs. Saturday morning was spent cleaning and doing chores, and then my mom, Grandma Butchy, and I headed to Mt. Iron to Earthfest. It was a first time event of locally grown, or produced items, and sustained living activities. Nate and Kohen stopped in on their way back from Rochester, and enjoyed some of the vendors and displays with us. We then headed home to meet up with the babysitter before heading to dinner at Terry C.s. North Carolina style pulled pork, and smoked brie with roasted berries. Excellent and relaxing.

Shrek.

Today was spent doing a variety of outdoor chores. Trimming donkey hooves, hauling hay, cleaning up the yard, burning fields, seeding and fertilizing the septic mound, moving chicks, and staring at pregnant sheep. Very pregnant sheep, as the following examples can demonstrate.
I have Fiona, Good Mama, and Pamela marked on the calendar for this coming Thursday. I cannot believe that Shrek has not lambed yet, I assumed she had been bred earlier than the others, but obviously I was wrong. I thought that after having two successful lambings my nervousness would ease, but such is not the case. I am impatient to have all babies born and growing where I can see them.
The three lambs are growing very fast. They pal around together, and cause grief to the lazy pregnant ewes.

Tif- Your lambs are so cute!! I can't wait until I can see them sometime this summer. I am excited to bring Lily up North to meet her cousins and see all of the exciting animals you have there. Hope all is going well.
