Under the weather

Today finds 50% of our family under the weather. I awoke with a stomach bug yesterday morning (before my alarm, of course!) and it raged through me the rest of the day. I was not able to keep anything down.
Then at about 9:00 last night poor Kohen woke up, throwing up. No fun. He and I slept on the couch last night with a bucket in close range.
So far no projecting this morning, but I still have awful stomach pains and a screaming headache. I've decided I better use a second sick day today to try and get it under control. I know I've been run down and more susceptible to things, but come on, I'm tired of being sick!
In other news, our weather has turned cold again the last few days. It was -25 yesterday morning, the poor sheep are weathering it well, but voice their disapproval whenever they see me. On Tuesday I spent some time with them and wormed the ones that I was most concerned about liver flukes in. Though the vet at Pipestone Veterinary thought if they were all doing fine so far, there is a good chance they do not have liver flukes. He also said the best way to completely eliminate the mature flukes from their system is a double dose of valbazen. This is something that cannot be done until after they lamb. Cross your fingers that there aren't any more issues with this. Anyway, on Sunday night we had made homemade dog treats for Shep. I took a handful of these in my pocket into the sheep pen. I was quickly mauled for them. The girls are friendly with the exception of Shrek, Sunny, and Bunny. Fiona and Kizzy are the most treat driven, they drove me crazy with their noses in my pockets and searching my hands for every crumb.
Ok, off to tend to a sick boy...and his sick mom.
