campfire party:Some of our friends recently had a campfire party, and what a wonderful party. Try 30 kids plus their families, a campfire, some marshmallows, trampoline, and classic games, and you have a great time.
ducklings : We have some! Our first mama duck hatched out 13 ducklings on Sunday, unfortunately we are now down to 8 for a variety of reasons. However, the other two duck hens are also setting on nests of eggs, so we will more than likely have more. They are khaki campbell/mallards.
fishing: Has been sorely lacking, but will hopefully have more time made for it soon. We spent a bit of time on Pelican Lake recently, but didn't have much luck. Nate did manage to fit in a quick BWCAW trip, and caught some nice walleye.
playhouse:My dad and John, a family friend, took the effort to move the old playhouse from my youth to our house. As John stated, "The Beverly Hillbillies don't have anything on us." Nate has now put in quite a few hours doing an extreme makeover: playhouse addition. Adding a new window, some tamarack paneling, a new roof, new door, some stain and more to come. It will no longer be the playhouse, but will now be the 'Lil Lodge'. The boys are already loving it.Ok, more to come.

I love the playhouse. We did the same thing with the one my sister and I used. A little more work and it will be an insulated chicken coop. (Our boys are a bit too big for it already)
