Happy First Day of Summer! This is one of my favorite days just because of the amount of daylight. I love being able to do chores at 5am or 9pm if I chose.
The past week was filled with a Rochester trip, wedding, and a workshop. We arrived home Thursday night, and now I never want to leave! It feels so good to be home. The garden and lambs are growing, along with the weeds. The boys are doing well, and getting lots of outside time. Here are a few lamb photos. They are growing so fast, and looking good.
This is one of Bunny's ewe lambs. She does not have a name yet because she will be moving to Finnegan Farm
Spot, growing well.
This is the best I could do for a photo of Marshmallow. He gets in your face. He looks the most like his dad, Bam, of any of this year's lambs.
This is the little ram guy that I am pondering keeping as our shetland stud for next year. He is out of Scar, and has little scurs. Since we are aquiring a 50%shetland, 25%icelandic, 25%border leicester white, polled ram, I would prefer a second ram without massive horns. This one fits that bill. We'll see how his fleece and everything turns out before making a final decision.
