Good Mama
Where to begin, it has been WAY too long since my last post. Life is just too busy. Leaving my house at 7 am and not getting home till 5 pm, trying to manage and raise two boys, feed a husband, scrub a toilet, wash some dishes, teach 20 students with special needs, not to mention train a puppy, tame a donkey, and spend some quality time with my sheep (and husband) I feel like life is running along dragging me from the bumper. I know that if I want to make it 'better' I'm going to have to make some big changes in one area or another.

In the meantime, I ended up being home today because Isaiah was sick. He spiked a 103 temp. in the middle of the night, and tylenol wasn't holding it down. So, the boys and I headed to Eveleth to drop Koe off for his pumpkin patch trip (couldn't miss that for anything) and then I ran some errands and took Isaiah to the clinic. Looks like an ear infection so he's on antibiotics.

Ok, back to the topic of this post. The past few days Good Mama has been sneaking under the electric fence and grazing in the yard. When she sees Nate or I coming she calmly runs over to the hill and jumps where she can clear the fence. We've adjusted fencing, and she still shows up in the yard. This afternoon she lured Pamela out with her. My husband does not have my patience, and the two sheep ended up way down in the hay field. He used the lawn tractor to herd them back to the house, where Good Mama calmly tucked heal and jumped over the fence. Pamela looked thorougly confused, and ran toward the ram pen. Bam was very excited to see her heading his way, but we finally convinced her to return to the ewe pen. I then fastened the cattle panel between the two fields so that Good Mama and Pamela are stuck far from the electric fence.

I guess in the scheme of things I have to look at how many positives have been added to my life since last year at this time. Last year, I didn't get to take Kohen to his pumpkin patch trip. I was in the hospital trying to stop Isaiah from arriving too early. I was struggling through pregnancy exhaustion and four credits of grad school. I didn't have a warm house (our outdoor furnace wasn't hooked up yet), and I didn't have 13 beautiful sheep grazing in my field. No ducks quacking outside my window in the morning. No awesome car with 4-wheel drive to drive 30 miles each morning. God has given me so much. Why am I so darn pessimistic and racing the clock all the time?

"Life" does that to you, or should I say the devil? God gives us good things and the devil tries to keep us running too hard to enjoy them. It take a lot of work, and I haven't mastered it yet!

Oh, Tifany...It does sound like you are tired out.

I'm so glad you can see how far you've come in the past year, and count your blessings. You reminded me to do the same thing. I'm back to work 5 days a week and the housework is suffering for my absense. (And you've been here, it isn't that stellar to begin with) :0)

I'll be thinking of you and praying for you. And I hope your little baby, Isaiah (ha! I spelled his name right for once!) feels better soon. Earaches hurt so much.

Love the new pig, and all the other precious animals you share on your blog.
