Weekend Trip

We took a quick trip to Rochester this weekend. Quick, busy, and tiring! But worth it. On our way through Cloquet we stopped at Gordy's for dinner. This is a fast food institution, that I had never stopped at on all my trips to the cities and South Dakota, until I started dating Nate. I hadn't known what I was missing! Their sign attracted my attention. If you know me well enough I bet you can guess which kind of burger I bought. Needless to say it was delicious!

We visited family, friends, farmers' market and had time for a visit to a grand opening of the new feed store. What a find, with pet and animal foods buy one get one free. As Nate says, it's a good thing my car has load leveling, we had 400 lbs. of feed in the back! They also had free lunch, raffles, a bouncy house, a corn candy pit, and face painting. We spent over an hour there, enjoying the festivities and socializing Shep. He did great! Kohen searching for candy in the corn.

We then headed to Cory and Holly's (Nate's sister) to visit and pick some pears from their tree. Kohen started out independent as ever.

Then his dad and Shep joined him.

Isaiah enjoying the fruits of their labor.

We then made a trip to the farm and visited Elaine and Lester. Rod was out harvesting soybeans, so Kohen headed out and got a ride in the combine. Finally, we ended the evening with pizzas at Jan's, and time for the cousins to play. Here is a picture of double trouble in action. Isaiah and Annalise are only a month apart in age, and just about the same size, and so much fun.

Today was more visiting, heading to Terry and Joyces to meet the new mammoth mules, and then to Holly's for breakfast. A quick Target trip and carwash, and we loaded up and visited Lester and Elaine one last time before we hit the road.

The mammoth mules are huge! And gentle, and they love carrots.

Lester, Isaiah and Nate.

Great pictures!

I love those two baby cousins. That is just adorable. I totally believe babies can have friends like the rest of us. It is so cool that Isaiha has the chance to play with kids his own age.

Also noticed Shep sitting so nicely while his masters picked pears...Good Doggie!
