Como Zoo

Almost a month ago we headed to the Como Park Zoo with the boys, Nate's mom, and Annalise. It was a hot day, but we had a great time.
Nate decided the day needed to start with cotton candy. He didn't get any protests from the kids!

Annalise was hot and hadn't brought a hat, so Gramma Jan bought her one. It was a good choice and did the job.
Como does a wonderful job of interactive tables and passing information on to the public. The volunteers were great.
We wavered on standing in line to tour the butterfly house at the end of the visit, but Koe, aka "Bug Boy" wanted to, so we did. I am glad we did. It was a great experience and we all enjoyed it.
Annalise loved the seals and sea lions. She would giggle whenever they came close.
We had a great experience in the polar bear encounter. The bears where being lazy and sleeping in the sun on the hot day. We were able to witness one slowly wake up and then slowly, almost teasingly approach the water, and finally jump in. The kids loved it. The air conditioning in that building wasn't so bad either.
